32 Weeks and 5 days

So, as all of you know (via Facebook), we will be welcoming a beautiful little Faela Rae Ward into the world in April. She kicks like crazy if I do something she doesn't want me to do (she's kicking the laptop at this very moment), and when she's hungry... (imagine that.) She moves an awful lot for what all my prego apps and emails and books are telling me she would. But then again, hyperactivity does run in the family (hhmmmmmegan). She and the cats now look forward to a cheese stick in the morning at exactly 6am, if I don't wake up by myself, either she'll kick or the cats come in and bug me. Other than that she sleeps through the night. She also isn't a morning person. If I don't get up, she sleeps. This morning she slept until 1pm. :) Needless to say, yes, that was when I was in bed until. Don't judge. We got our stroller and infant car seat yesterday, and I am really excited to try it out!!!! I told Bj that I'd have Faela in her seat, Peanut in the basket and Shades walking on a leash and he said he wouldn't walk through the park with me. How rude. We'll just see about that. I am getting rather large, but I can still put my socks and shoes on by myself when I have to. I can still work. I haven't had any swollen ankles, back pain or strange cravings. However, putting books away on the bottom shelves at the library has become a challenge unless I sit on the floor. :) I've only gained about 20 pounds, which I am very happy about, because I already can't see my feet and find myself tripping over things a lot. Bj is gaining weight, which is very interesting... I'm not sure if he's eating more, being lazy (haha) or just putting on some more man pounds, but I like it. He's always been such a stick of a person, it's nice that he's getting beefier, although also harder to get around in our rather small kitchen and bathroom (plus, he takes more blankets and space in bed :P). I honestly at the moment am not stressed about anything which is nice, especially since stress should be very minimal in this trimester. It could be because I using self-control or I just don't really care... >:) well, I should sleep... :)

Daddy Talk

Hello All. Daddy here. I haven't yet posted on here, so I thought I'd give some input to keep this blog balanced! ;)

The pregnancy has been a great, fun experience so far (at least for me!) and neither of us can wait until "the bump" arrives in the real world.  We're enjoying every moment of the wait, though.

I've felt the bump kick quite a few times by now.  I think it might possess some of it's dad's patented rythm-keeping-marching that he used in his rock band days.  It obviously inherited some important gifts and qualities from me.  Another one being the way it acts as if it's doing nothing wrong as soon as someone touches or puts their ear to the outside of its humble abode.  "What? Me? I'm not doing anything."

The ultrasound coming up should be a blast.  We'll get a first real look at the cute bump's face, which will be a great moment.

We'll keep you updated!

27 weeks and 3 days. :) 89 days to go! :)

So, I was thinking today. I really don't want to go with the neutral colours even though we don't know the gender of Bump yet. I was going to do frogs, but can't find stuff to fit the style of frogs I wanted. I don't really even want to colour-scheme the room without knowing the gender yet. So, with that said, my registries will include very little of what I want until we find out. But, I do already have some stuff that I will NEED on them. :)

I'm currently registered on Amazon, Walmart and Target! :)

YAY!

It's official! We're going to get a 3D/4D Ultrasound at BabyMoments in Webster on February 11th at 10am! If there is anyone reading this (besides my family...because you're all already invited :)) that really want to be there or see the ultrasound via Sonostream, text me! We're so excited! Hopefully Bump won't be a poop again and not let us see what gender it is! :) I wanted to get it done sooner, but the 11th was the soonest they could get us in. :) Ok, my "YAY" for the day! Bump is bouncing all over the place right now. :) :)

So today is week 26, day 5. I went in for my glucose test yesterday & am still waiting to hear back from that. Bump really liked all that sugar. Little bugger went crazy! Bj & I have decided to get another ultrasound done. We'll be doing it at Baby moments in Webster, hopefully next Saturday morning if all goes according to plan. :) It's going to be a 3D/4D scan and I can invite as many people as I like to come. :) The ultrasound will also be streaming live on a website for people who can't come to watch at home. We're really excited! :) it's pretty expensive, but we think it will be really worth it. :) I can't wait to find out the gender... :)

25 weeks and 1 day

So, I realize this is a strange time to start a blog, halfway through our pregnancy, but, I haven't really been writing that much about the experience and thought it might be nice. :) I might even add some pics of "the bump". For starters, we don't know if "the bump" is a boy or a girl. Not that we didn't try to find out, the child was just in a rather awkward position, with his/her legs crossed. Quite a scam if you ask me, but I do like surprises. :)
